WOODLAND VILLAGE COMMITTEES

The Following are the existing committees as created by the Board of Directors for the Woodland Village Homeowners Association. If you would like to volunteer as a committee member, or would like more detailed information, select the appropriate link or contact the Association Office.

Budget Committee
The Budget Committee is a seasonal committee that meets towards the end of the third quarter, or in the fourth quarter of the calendar year. The committee makes recommendations to the association board as to what expenses and incomes are forecast for the comming year. Generally, the board follows the recommendations> of the budget committee, but nothing is finalized until the board votes upon it through the normal, publicly noticed meeting process.

Design Committee
The Design Committee is a sub-organization of the Board, authorized by the board to authorize, deny, and make recommendations to homeowners as to any general, specific or landscaping improvements made to their property.

All residents are required to get a "DC Permit" (Design Committee Permit), prior to effecting any and all landscaping projects in the areas visible from the street in front of the home. Be sure to contact the Design Committee before begining any project.

Be advised that Washoe County Building Department is aware of the Village CC&Rs and consequently will not grant a building permit (This includes sprinkler systems on up) without a "DC Permit".

The design committee meets every Wednesday Evening from 5:00pm until the work is completed -- plans must be submitted to the Association office 24 hours prior to the meeting to be prepared for review.

Streetlight Committee
The Street Light Committe was created by the Board in order to make recommendations to the home-builder and association regarding the costs, usage, maintenance, installation, and locations of all old-fashioned street lights within the village. If you should have any questions, concerns, or would like to report a damaged light, please contact the association office.

Good Neighbor Committee
If anyone is interested in joining the committee, please contact the Association Office at 971-2885.
